    Rongelap Atoll residents have an abundant and reliable supply of fresh water and electric power. Two diesel generators meet the electricity needs of the community.

Fresh water is produced by reverse osmosis using salt water drawn from a deep well.  A pumping station will deliver fresh water to the homes and facilities on the island. The town water reservoir holds 5000,000 gallons of water and each home has water storage capacity of 2000 gallons.
