As the New Year started, the
Nuclear Claims Tribunal owed claimants $14.6 million — yet
there is less than $4 million left in the nuclear claims
fund, reports the Tribunal.
According to Tribunal
records, a total of $85,957,000 was awarded for 1,917
claims. The amount actually paid, however, was
$71,340,622.50, the Tribunal reported. This leaves about
$14.6 million owed to claimants for personal injury claims. |
